As our children enter their tween and teen years, it's time to help them take charge of their own education. Our junior high, or form 3 class, is designed to do just that. As our children grow, so does their work load in school, which means they will begin taking a few assignments home. The subjects we send home will vary, but will include Bible, History, Science, and literature. We don't send workbooks (math and grammar) home, unless a student has dawdled over a lesson and needs to finish it at home.
Students entering grades 7 & 8 should be able to read well on their own. We will be carefully guiding them towards the independence they will need in high school. We want them to be able to read their own math and grammar lessons and work as independently as possible. Of course, their teacher will always be available to help as needed. Form 3 is simply a training ground for the next level of school, where independence will be absolutely required.

Thought breeds thought; children familiar with great thoughts take as naturally to thinking for themselves as the well-nourished body takes to growing; and we must bear in mind that growth, physical, intellectual, moral, spiritual, is the sole end of education. Charlotte Mason
Our form 3 students will still spend plenty of time outside playing, observing, and getting all the fresh air and sunshine possible. This is an exciting new stage for your children and we are so honored to walk alongside your family during this transition.
