A powerful ally for your homeschool journey
Located near Great Falls, MT, Huckleberry Academy was created to come alongside you on your homeschool journey. As a homeschool resource, we offer a full curriculum for grades 1-6 in a 4 hour day, 4 day week format, leaving plenty of time for you to continue learning with your kids at home. It is our hope to add grades 7-8, dependent on finding a teacher.

Our 2024/25 year will begin in September, Monday-Thursday from 8:30-12:30.

A relational education

We use the Alveary, a vibrant curriculum that emphasizes relationships. Your children will learn about their relationship with God, each other, and the world around them.

A nature based education

Nature itself is a great educator and it is our goal to spend as much time in it as possible. Be the weather wet, cold, or sunny, we will be outside every day it is safe to do so. Some days it will be a simple walk and some days it will be lessons outside. The great outdoors is a wonderful place to be and we have no desire to deprive children of it for the sake of education.

A literary education

At Huckleberry Academy, your child will be immersed in rich, classic literature from their very first day. In keeping with the Charlotte Mason tradition, we emphasize great ideas and beautiful art.

What does it cost?

Great care has been put into keeping Huckleberry Academy as affordable as possible while paying our teachers well. There are grants and scholarships available for education and parents are encouraged to seek them out. Huckleberry Academy is a non-profit organization and contributions are tax deductible. 

Until we have a better idea of how many students will attend in the 2024/25 school year, we cannot give an exact cost. Tuition is $5,000 per student for the year. We have secured a sponsorship option to help offset costs for grades 1-3 and are working to find options for the other grades. We'd love your help to find sponsors! With sponsors on board, we will be able to offer even deeper discounts based on family size and income.

Would you like to help?

Our curriculum is set up to educate multiple grades together in every subject aside from Arithmetic. We are looking for parents to volunteer to help with math every day. This would take no more than an hour and would benefit our kid's and teachers greatly.
